FAQ
What is a readability score?
A readability score estimates how easy a text is to read, based on sentence length and word complexity. Higher ease scores mean easier reading; grade-level scores show the school grade needed to understand it.
What score should I aim for?
For web content, aim for a Flesch Reading Ease of 60+ (or grade 8 or lower). Most popular blogs and marketing pages land in that range.
Does it work with Chinese?
The formulas are designed for English syllables, so scores for Chinese text are rough references only. For Chinese, use the sentence-length guidance (aim for 20-40 characters per sentence).
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser — your text never leaves your device.
